If you're looking to add more adventure to the expedition and experience the canals in a less traditional way, kayaking is for you.

This activity offers a hands-on and exciting experience against the backdrop of one of Costa Rica's most biodiverse forests. You'll embark on an unforgettable journey through the most remote sites of Tortuguero National Park.

You can also take the tour to the highest point of the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica, elevated to 119 meters above sea level. From there, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the canals and beaches of Tortuguero Conservation Area, and observe various animals such as three species of monkeys, toucans, macaws, among others.

The tour is led by an accredited guide, and reservations must be made in advance.

National Park Tour:

Exploring the Rainforest is an incredible experience. Surrounded by mesmerizing trees and plants, you'll encounter a variety of wildlife — birds, lizards, spiders, snakes, ants, monkeys, and more. After walking through the forest, you'll reach the sea, offering an excellent opportunity to take pictures and observe the changing wildlife.

The forest is amazing during the day, but at night, it comes alive with a completely different kind of wildlife. If you observe closely and quietly, you can spot all sorts of animals — frogs, crickets, spiders, tarantulas, caimans, crabs, bats, nocturnal birds, raccoons, foxes, and owls — and witness the surprising nocturnal lives of plants and animals.
